BRIGHT THE SUN $21.00 $3.80 2nd

ZESTIMAN $13.00 $3.30 3rd

Bright The Sun was desperately unlucky in her Class 1 assignment at Toowoomba, held up badly at the home turn while the leader enjoyed a charmed run up front. Once clear, the Star Witness filly launched impressively—reeling in ground with every stride—and was only denied in the shadows, finishing a narrow second. With an unimpeded run, she wins. Follow her with confidence.

Zestiman, in contrast, had every conceivable chance. Positioned ideally and produced at the right time, he simply didn’t find when asked. While the setup was perfect, the gelding didn’t deliver—and that effort now sees him added to our black book with a line through for future reference.

On the day we invested $100 each way on both, $400 total, we collected $710 and yielded a profit of $310.
