Profiler’s only qualifier today delivered one of this month’s shock results but the gelding himself is not at fault. His record shows he is a reliable performer and this effort was undone by circumstances. He was not straightened when the barrier opened, which caused him

to dwell slightly, and as he moved into stride he was forced six horses wide. He remained in that position around the home turn and by the halfway mark in the straight his energy was spent. As a result, his trademark turn of foot was as flat as Andy’s Cap. We are certain

this run is worth dismissing because his ability is proven. He stays firmly on our Horses to Follow list.
