Profiler's only qualifier was badly let down by the ride. Trapped behind inferior runners turning for home, she had no choice but to idle while the race slipped away. Clear air finally came when Yendall peeled her wide but far too late. She charged to post like a jet, but the damage was already done and sadly she was left with fourth place. With better decision-making in the saddle, she finishes top three—possibly second. The ability is there; the execution was not. If Freedman wants to do right by his filly, it’s time for a serious upgrade in the irons.
