PURO $10.00 $3.00 2nd

True to her usual pattern, she settled mid-field before looking to stalk the leaders

turning for home. Rider, Elisha Whittington was a touch slow to secure that position,

which left PURO with plenty to do late. She finished off strongly, but the margin was

too much to bridge and she had to settle for second. Investment: $100 each way

($200 total) Return: $300. While the result was disappointing, the mare showed

honesty and dour determination again.
